Harvard Business School contracts Neuron Global for Centennial Series
BOSTON – Dec 7, 2007 - Neuron Global partners with Harvard Business School (HBS) in marking the HBS Centennial in 2008. The HBS Centennial is a yearlong series of special events and conferences designed to frame management education and research in the future. Neuron Global will provide post-event “Insight Reports” that will consolidate the key knowledge, trends and concepts discussed during the HBS Centennial events.
A former Neuron Global partner and president of HBS Cyberposium 12 stated, "One of our major issues every year is that attendees always want to be in two places at once. We found Neuron Global’s Conference Insight Report as an excellent way to allow our conference participants to experience the key takeaways and important points of contention for those tracks they could not attend.”
Neuron Global exists to solve the pressing problem of high value knowledge loss and information overload during events and conferences. Its “Conference Insight Report” allows attendees to learn and remember more, and access knowledge from missed sessions.
“Throughout 2008 we will showcase Harvard Business School’s history of innovative research and teaching and the extraordinary impact of our alumni around the world,” said Jay Light, HBS Dean. “Our Centennial also will be an opportunity to ask the important questions that will frame our work over the next century. What is the future of business and business education in a global economy? How can we help shape it?”
The HBS Centennial celebration is about ideas. Harvard Business School faculty have designed a total of 14 colloquia to push the frontiers of knowledge. These colloquia will be held in small classroom settings over the course of three calendar years. They will combine theory and practice to shape both the art and science of management.
In the Centennial’s inaugural conference in January 2008, the HBS campus was the site for a global summit on Venture Capitalism. The event featured thought-provoking discourse, debate, and insight into important topics facing the venture capitalist community. Speakers included Jim Breyer, General Partner at Accel Partners; Tim Draper, Founder and a Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson; Sumir Chadha, Managing Director of Sequoia Capital India; William H. Draper III, General Partner of Draper Richards L.P.; Andrew P. Goldfarb, Co-Founder and Executive Managing Director of Globespan Capital; Tina Ju, Managing Partner of KPCB China; Peter Lawrence, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of FLAG Capital Management; Peter Wendell, Founder and a Managing Director of Sierra Ventures; and Paul Maeder, Co-Founder and Managing General Partner at Highland Capital Partners.
“The high-level information during these summits will have a massive impact on how the globe’s future will be understood,” says Sedarius Perrotta, Neuron Global President. “We’re happy that HBS Alumni from all over the world will benefit from these events long after they are done.”
