MIT Partners with Neuron Global in Celebrating their 2009 MIT Energy Conference
Massachusetts – March 6-7, 2009 – Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) partnered with Neuron Global in celebrating their 2009 MIT Energy Conference. The 2 – day conference brought together leaders in the fields of technology, policy, industry and finance to develop solutions for the tremendous challenges present in the energy markets. Neuron Global will provide a “Conference Insight Report” that will consolidate the key knowledge, trends and concepts discussed during the MIT energy conference.
The 2009 conference showcased promising technology and policies that have great potential in making a significant impact in the global energy landscape. Speakers from different fields took turns in pointing out their own methods of easing the transition to a more sustainable energy economy as well as proposing ways of coping with energy issues that pose a threat to our energy markets. They shared information through moderated panel discussions as well as question – and – answer sessions.
MIT President, Ms. Susan Hockfield, opened the conference mentioning: "We need to focus on alternative energy because reviving the economies of the world requires a return to fundamental economic growth, I'm convinced that the next wave of economic growth will rise from the same source that powered the information and biotechnology revolutions: from innovation. And today, by far the most powerful potential for immediate, catalytic innovation is alternative energy."
Noted field personalities such as Ian Copeland, President of New Technology Bechtel Power, Robert Shannon, Manager, Technology Strategy of Siemens Energy Technology and Innovation, Michael Metzner, Executive Vice President & CFO of First Wind, Dr. Ali Nourai, Manager, Distributed Energy Resources, American Electric Power, and many others graced the conference with their presence and gave out their expert opinions to conference participants regarding other energy issues and their possible solutions.
With the inflow of various information, Neuron Global was able to rescue the event’s participants from the problem of high-value knowledge loss and information overload through its “Conference Insight Report” (CIR). The report provides attendees with comprehensive executive summaries of all the topics included in the conference allowing them to recall and review important points raised in the different conference discussions. With Neuron Global’s CIR, the 2 – day event turned into a long – term learning experience that both participants and non – participants can go back to for reference.
